• Fairer/Marine Spray Painter

Voodoo Yachts / Pachoud Yachts have a vacancy available for an experienced fairer/spray painter.

The successful applicant will need to have previous marine/vehicle spray painting experience. You will need to be able to apply the high standard of finish required on our luxury yachts.

You will need

  • Certificate in Vehicle Painting (Level 4) or 3 years equivalent experience.
  • To be highly motivated and reliable
  • To be a team player
  • A good eye for detail
  • A high standard of workmanship
  • Work in a good state of cleanliness and tidiness
  • Excellent time management skills
  • An awareness of health and safety.

• CNC Machine Operator

Voodoo Yachts / Pachoud Yachts have a vacancy available for an experienced CNC operator.

This is an opportunity to continue to develop your skills in a great working environment with an industry-leading team of passionate and hardworking people.

The CNC team are responsible for supplying parts with absolute precision and play an integral part in design innovation and business efficiency. The role will involve operating several of our 5 CNC machines, including a 5-axis waterjet and large 4-axis router.

The successful applicants will have:

  • Preferable Alpha Cam experience however experience in other cam packages will be considered.
  • 3D experience will be highly valued.
  • 4 Axis router experience preferred.
  • Water jet experience preferred.
  • Draughting / cut file creation experience beneficial.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and work with minimal supervision.
  • A good eye for detail.
  • To be motivated and reliable.
  • A high standard of workmanship.

• Mechanical Installer

Voodoo Yachts / Pachoud Yachts have a vacancy available for an experienced engineering / mechanical installer.

This is an opportunity to continue to develop your skills in a great working environment with an industry-leading team of passionate and hardworking people. There is the potential for a team leader level position for a candidate with the right skill/experience level.

The role will involve installing a wide range of mechanical systems found in large boats: including but not limited to diesel engines and generators, driveline and steering, hydraulics, fuel systems, air conditioning, domestic water plumbing, hose and pipe fitting systems, heating, ventilation, ducting, fire suppression, sound insulation, showers, toilets and domestic appliances. You will also work with epoxy glues, sealants, fiberglass, wood, stainless steels, bolted and screwed connections and paint during the installation of the above marine equipment. The role will also include carrying out testing and commissioning of systems.

The successful applicant will have the following skills and attributes:

  • A strong understanding of and ablilty to install the systems listed above.
  • Engineering / Mechanical installer experience
  • Mechanical troubleshooting skill is desirable.
  • Planning and leadership skills preferred.
  • Proficient skill with a wide range of hand tools.
  • Understanding of the properties and uses of different materials and metals, and ability to identify these.
  • Show an understanding and act so to remove risk involved with all tools, materials and procedures involved in your work.
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Be highly motivated and reliable
  • Be a team player
  • A positive attitude
  • A good eye for, and strict attention to detail

• Electrician

Voodoo Yachts / Pachoud Yachts have a vacancy available for a qualified electrician.

This is an opportunity to continue to develop your skills in a great working environment with an industry-leading team of passionate and hardworking people.

We are looking for a qualified electrician to join our electrical team and be further trained or upskilled in the Marine electrical industry. Marine experience is not necessary but would be greatly helpful. We are looking for an enthusiastic person with an eye for detail and a willingness to learn in this ever-expanding industry. The role will consist of wiring vessels from start to finish, under the direction of a senior electrician, including electronics, heating and ventilation systems, DC and AC distribution, entertainment systems and much more. The role will also include carrying out testing and commissioning of systems.

The successful applicant will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Carry out all electrical work to a high standard
  • Ensure this work is compliant and complete efficiently and accurately
  • Comply with all company health and safety procedures
  • Work in a good state of cleanliness and tidiness
  • Hold a current Electrical NZ registration
  • Marine electrical experience preferred, industrial electrical experience may also be helpful.
  • Show an understanding and act so to remove risk involved with all tools, materials and procedures involved in your work.
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Ability to work efficiently both individually and as part of a team
